"Tharsis proudly presents a collection of East Coast funk in the form of the debut EP by North Carolina breakbeat maverick Hard Science. The nu school breaks original mix is joined by a Baltimore Club take from veteran Jon Kwest, a techy tribalistic refresh by Mojo Jones, and the catchy electro house take by Washington, DC newcomer Nayme. Enojy!"


The original was a Breaks track, but I flipped it into a techy, tribal House groove. It is minimal in term of production and elements used. In fact instead a "traditional" bass line, it uses over-driven, de-tuned 909 tom drums providing a monstrous, resonating bass tone. It may not sound like much on PC speakers, but in a big system it sounds huge :)

Crystal Method remix!

Crystal Method asked us to try our hand at remixing Sine Language. It didn't make the final cut for release, but I was really happy with the end result: A proggy, breaky, driving electro tune fit for the summer (and makes a pretty decent outro for live sets IMO :).
